Much of the advice for professional women and people of color focus on the need to lean in, but what about the barriers to doing so, or the unequal rewards (and even penalties) when women do lean in?

Achieving equity requires that women and men work together to tackle systemic and cultural challenges and examine how these look different for rising leaders compared to previous generations.

In this session, led by Melanie Ho, Author of Beyond Leaning In: Gender Equity & What Organizations are Up Against, we’ll discuss the major challenges that women face as they advance the career ladder. We’ll also look at what’s needed for individuals across genders and generations to collaborate with one another and create more equitable workplaces. This session is designed for both women and allies.
