Welcome to the GovLoop course on Converged Infrastructures for Government. The history of technology is dotted with significant steps forward, and convergence is one of them.

By taking this course, you will be enrolled in five lessons that explain convergence of IT systems and how that improves operations. We’ll begin by exploring conventional IT infrastructures and their drawbacks. Then, we’ll introduce the concept of convergence and explain how it differs from hyperconvergence.

Along the way, we’ll look at the benefits and applications of convergence in IT infrastructures. Finally, we’ll examine how to create a converged infrastructure, from planning through deployment.

To learn more about important convergence concepts, we’ll also hear from expert, Peter Friedman, Data Center Sales Manager at NetApp – an industry leader in providing converged IT solutions to government.
